50% – 70% of electricity will be generated from renewable energy by 2030, thereby leading to an increase in demand for workers that could fill up the labour gaps and contribute to a clean power future.
The pace of this economic opportunity is not without its challenges. Labour supply projections show there would be material shortages in the workers needed to meet all of the newly created jobs from increasing clean energy to 50% – 70% of generation by 2030. This means that there will be need for electricians, welders, wind technicians, solar installators and lot of other works above and beyond labour projections. To meet this level of demand, all hands must be on deck.
